The required holding force is calculated based on the weight of the accessory being secured (such as electrical boxes, anchor plates, or recess formers), the thickness of the steel casting bed, and the mechanical vibration levels. For small electrical inserts, a 50 kg force is sufficient. For heavy structural anchor plates, forces from 500 kg up to 2500 kg are required.
Standard neodymium (NdFeB) magnets are rated for operating temperatures up to 80°C. If your precast facility uses accelerated steam curing, you must specify high-temperature rated magnets (such as SH, UH, or EH grades) which can operate up to 120°C or 150°C without suffering irreversible magnetic loss.
We use high-grade galvanized coatings and polyurethane seals to isolate the inner neodymium core. To extend the service life of these units, operators should apply formwork release oil to the surface and clean off concrete slurry immediately after demolding.
