View SpecificationsPortugal’s industrial civil sector is undergoing a massive transformation. Leading prefab plants and engineering contractors in Lisbon, Porto, and Braga are rapidly phasing out antiquated physical fastening methods—like wood screws and metal drilling—in favor of reusable, highly reliable magnetic fixing solutions.
By implementing specialized insert concrete magnets, precast producers achieve unprecedented efficiency. The primary mechanical advantage lies in preserving the steel molds. Traditional drilling degrades expensive casting tables; magnetic clamping secures components cleanly, eliminating secondary table repair costs and extending formwork lifespan by over 300%.
Moreover, local structural regulations in Portugal demand rigorous compliance with European Standards (such as EN 13369 for common precast concrete products). This requires insert magnets that retain structural precision within +/- 0.5mm, ensuring that conduit pathways, threaded lifting sockets, and anchor formers remain perfectly aligned during high-frequency vibratory casting phases.
Discover why global engineering groups operating across Iberia choose QCM's premium magnetic systems.
Portuguese coastal projects in regions like Algarve and Porto face high ambient humidity and salt spray exposure. Our insert magnets utilize premium galvanization, specialized polyurethane potting, or stainless-steel encasements to resist corrosion and chemical degradation from concrete release agents.
We leverage industrial-grade Neodymium-Iron-Boron (NdFeB) compounds, designed to withstand continuous vibration and thermal variations during concrete curing without losing magnetic flux. Standard assemblies are rated for ambient profiles up to 80°C, with custom options for up to 120°C.
Threaded components and recess formers are manufactured on high-precision CNC centers. This guarantees ISO-standard metric threads (M10, M12, M16, to M36) that interface seamlessly with local hardware, lifting anchors, and electrical box components used by Portuguese prefab contractors.
Delivering structural magnetic solutions with verified global standards and engineering excellence.
Qianci Magnet (QCM Magnet) is a state-of-the-art magnetic assembly manufacturer, specializing in the R&D and precision production of shuttering magnets, formwork magnets, insert magnets, and magnetic chamfer strips.
Our long-term strategy focuses on developing robust magnetic system solutions that directly optimize the cycle-time and safety profile of precast concrete plants globally, with a specific focus on the evolving European infrastructure sectors.
At QCM Magnet, we recognize that the precast concrete industry demands tools that can endure the absolute harshest environments. The constant dynamic loading, abrasive aggregate exposure, and intensive cleanup operations quickly destroy sub-par equipment.
By sourcing high-grade rare-earth magnets and employing advanced hermetic sealing techniques, we ensure our magnetic components offer reliable pull forces and exceptional service life. Whether you are pouring massive bridge girders in Lisbon or manufacturing modular residential walls in Porto, our engineering group can tailor custom shapes, holding strengths, and thread sizes to your project requirements.
Our factories conform to international certifications, ensuring that every batch of insert magnets delivered to Portugal matches your structural tolerance specifications.
Combining world-class rare earth processing with state-of-the-art structural assembly for optimized procurement.
As the epicenter of the global rare-earth permanent magnet supply chain, China offers unparalleled engineering advantages for precast concrete components. Sourcing directly from our state-of-the-art facilities in China allows Portuguese companies to acquire top-tier Neodymium (NdFeB) raw materials and precision steel parts at optimized cost structures.
We do not just supply standard parts; our dedicated engineering team provides end-to-end custom development. From finite element analysis (FEA) of magnetic circuits to custom CNC-milled adapter plates, our team delivers products tailored to the exact specifications of modern automated production lines in Europe.
Additionally, our logistics network provides seamless DDP and CIF shipments directly to major hubs, including the Port of Leixões (Porto) and Port of Lisbon, ensuring streamlined custom clearance and prompt delivery timelines.

Selecting the correct magnet depends heavily on the mold material, structural dimensions, and vibration intensity. For securing small PVC pipes or conduit boxes, holding forces of 50 kg to 200 kg are typically sufficient. However, for massive steel shuttering profiles or structural formwork walls, heavy-duty shuttering magnets with rated capacities of 900 kg to 2500 kg are required to prevent lateral shifting during concrete pouring and high-frequency consolidation.
Although our magnets are built with high-impact steel and protective polyurethane coatings, the raw neodymium cores are inherently brittle. Operators should use specialized release levers to disengage the magnets, avoiding heavy hammer blows directly to the casing. Regular cleaning to remove concrete residue and applying standard formwork oil to the contact surfaces will prevent rusting and ensure flush contact with the casting table, maintaining rated holding forces indefinitely.
Standard neodymium-based systems are rated for operations up to 80°C. If your precast plant uses steam curing to accelerate concrete hydration, it is critical to use specialized high-temperature neodymium compounds (rated for 100°C or 120°C) to prevent permanent thermal demagnetization.

Precast concrete systems: Shuttering molds shape edges/openings on flat surfaces using magnetic fixation, while mold systems secure larger modular shutters. Understanding these design differences helps plants select the right tool for optimal line efficiency.
