Understanding Sintered NdFeB Crystalline Structures: Sintered Neodymium magnets consist of an intermetallic tetragonal phase ($Nd_2Fe_{14}B$) showing exceptional uniaxial magnetocrystalline anisotropy, allowing them to resist demagnetization over decades of service.
Our research focuses on Grain Boundary Diffusion (GBD) technology. GBD allows us to introduce Dysprosium (Dy) or Terbium (Tb) selectively into the boundary region of NdFeB crystals rather than distributing them throughout the entire alloy. This dramatically boosts intrinsic coercivity ($H_{cj}$) while avoiding the drop in remanence ($B_r$) that occurs with traditional alloying methods. Consequently, our magnets operate at higher temperatures without sacrificing magnetic strength.
Another major technological focus is anti-corrosion protection. Precast concrete environments present challenges with high humidity, alkaline concrete chemistry, and mechanical abrasion.
