Mechanical anchoring causes progressive structural fatigue to mold tables, leading to surface irregularities that negatively affect precast concrete elements.
By leveraging the high magnetic flux densities of Rare-Earth Neodymium (NdFeB) matrices, modern shuttering magnets hold formwork side profiles with vertical forces ranging from 450 kg to over 2500 kg. This allows for stable, weld-free positioning that resists high lateral pressures during wet concrete casting and subsequent mechanical vibration.
Premium-grade NdFeB magnets operate at the heart of our shuttering boxes. However, standard neodymium magnets are vulnerable to demagnetization under the high-temperature curing conditions common in precast concrete plants.
To maintain holding capacity, we specify high-coercivity magnet grades designed to resist thermal degradation at temperatures up to 80°C (standard) and up to 120°C–150°C for custom thermal curing applications. Additionally, our magnetic circuits use iron yokes to concentrate magnetic flux lines, directing them to the contact plate for maximum holding force.
