1. What determines the holding force required for precast shuttering magnets?
The required holding force depends on formwork height, concrete density, pour rate, and the amplitude of vibration tables. Lightweight walls (under 100mm height) generally utilize 600kg to 900kg magnets. Structural walls and heavy beams (above 200mm height) require 1500kg to 2500kg boxes to prevent slippage during concrete pouring.
2. Can Neodymium shuttering magnets lose their magnetic force over time?
High-quality NdFeB magnets maintain their magnetic flux indefinitely under proper operating conditions. Demagnetization occurs primarily due to: 1) Temperatures exceeding the rated limit (e.g., standard N-grades above 80°C), and 2) Direct mechanical impact that fractures the internal sintered crystalline structure. Proper handling and thermal grade selection prevent force loss.
3. What maintenance is required to prolong the service life of a magnetic box?
Keep the contact surface clean. Concrete paste on the bottom of the magnetic box creates air gaps, which significantly reduce holding force.
