High-precision industrial magnets and precast systems for renewable energy and construction.
Technical depth on the evolution of PMSG technology and market dynamics.
The global shift toward renewable energy has placed Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generators (PMSG) at the forefront of wind energy. Unlike traditional gear-driven turbines, PMSG systems utilize high-grade Neodymium (NdFeB) magnets to convert kinetic energy directly into electricity. This reduces mechanical wear and increases efficiency, especially in offshore wind farms where maintenance is costly.
From the vast plains of the American Midwest to the offshore arrays in the North Sea, wind turbines with magnets are localized to meet specific grid requirements. In residential areas, smaller vertical-axis wind turbines (VAWTs) utilize ferrite or lower-grade NdFeB magnets for cost-effective decentralized power.
The industry is moving toward "Heavy Rare Earth-Free" magnets to reduce dependence on Dy (Dysprosium) and Tb (Terbium). Innovations in grain boundary diffusion (GBD) technology allow manufacturers to maintain high coercivity at elevated temperatures, ensuring turbines operate reliably in extreme climates.
China currently accounts for over 80% of the world's rare earth magnet production. This dominance is not just based on raw material access, but on Industrial Cluster Efficiency. Factories in hubs like Ningbo and Ganzhou have integrated the entire lifecycle—from mining and separation to high-precision CNC machining and advanced coating (like Everlube or Teflon) to prevent corrosion in saline maritime environments.
When you buy wind turbine with magnets from Chinese manufacturers, you are tapping into a mature ecosystem that offers rapid prototyping and rigorous QC standards that meet ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 certifications.

Our Strategy
What engineers and procurement officers need to know when sourcing turbine magnets.
Wind turbines operate under high thermal loads. It is critical to specify the Maximum Operating Temperature (Tw) and Curie Temperature (Tc). For high-performance generators, magnets must maintain flux density even at 150°C without irreversible demagnetization.
Especially for offshore wind turbines, magnets must be protected against salt spray. Multi-layer coatings (Nickel-Copper-Nickel + Epoxy) are standard. At QCM, we provide salt spray testing reports exceeding 500 hours to ensure longevity.
Buying just the magnets is only half the battle. Our engineers help optimize the magnetic circuit design (Halbach arrays, etc.) to maximize torque density while minimizing the volume of expensive rare earth materials.
With proper coating and thermal management, high-grade NdFeB magnets can last over 20-25 years with less than 1% magnetic loss, aligning with the structural lifespan of the turbine itself.
Energy density. Neodymium magnets provide a much stronger magnetic field for their size, allowing for lighter nacelles and more compact direct-drive generators, which is essential for massive 10MW+ offshore turbines.
Magnets are classified as "Dangerous Goods" for air freight if not shielded. We use specialized magnetic shielding packaging (iron-lined boxes) and moisture-proof vacuum sealing to ensure the magnets arrive in perfect condition.
Yes. We utilize advanced sintering and wire-cutting techniques to produce arc, segment, and bread-shaped magnets tailored to your specific generator pole geometry.
