Characterized by their exceptional Maximum Energy Product, denoted as (BH)max ranging from 35 to 52 MGOe, these materials deliver unparalleled magnetic flux density in remarkably compact dimensional footprints. This makes them indispensable in applications where miniaturization and mechanical force density are critical operational requirements.
Sintered NdFeB is an anisotropic material. Its magnetic properties are established during the compacting phase of manufacturing. A powerful magnetic field aligns the crystalline grains of the Nd2Fe14B compound along their preferred axis of magnetization. To prevent demagnetization under severe stress, advanced compositions incorporate dysprosium (Dy) or terbium (Tb). These additives increase the material's intrinsic coercivity (Hcj), allowing the magnets to operate reliably at elevated temperatures up to 220°C without permanent flux loss.
However, the highly reactive nature of the iron and neodymium elements makes them vulnerable to oxidation and hydrogen embrittlement. To guarantee long-term stability in industrial and marine environments, we apply advanced surface protective coatings. These include multilayer Electroplated Nickel-Copper-Nickel (Ni-Cu-Ni), vapor-deposited Parylene, spray-applied Epoxy resins, and thick vulcanized Rubber encasing. These coatings ensure our magnets consistently exceed 72-hour salt-spray standards (ASTM B117).
